Charge
Protection: Reverse battery,
short circuit, input overload, output
overload, and over temperature protection are
standard features. Programmed safety features
include the ‘Charge Time Monitor’, which
safely shuts down charging, if charge time is
exceeded and Thermal Runaway Detection
terminates further charging.

Charge
Algorithm: True
Microprocessor control, programmed with
proprietary software allows selection of
either I-E-E or I-E-I charge algorithm, with
or without External Thermistor Compensation.

Pre-Qualification
Test: Tests for
shorted cells, sulfated battery, wrong battery
types and high internal battery resistance
before charging begins.

Slow
(Soft) Start: Gently ramps
up to the required output charge level which
avoids ‘bashing’ the battery.

Multi-Charge
Stages: Charges at a
Constant Current rate until battery voltage
reaches the Constant Voltage Mode. Then
regulates voltage until battery has reached
100% charge, where it transitions to Float
Mode. It remains in Float Mode until the 28
Day Recycle elapses, or returns to Constant
Current Charging if batteries have been loaded
down by a load.

Minimal
Loading: Disconnected from
A.C. power, but with output leads left
connected to battery, battery drain is much
less than 1mA.
